REFUND POLICY

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your purchase! If you're not completely satisfied, we have a 14 day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. Customized orders cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective. 

For original art, please contact me to discuss any issues. Because art is valuable and can be easily damaged, returns via shipping may not be possible. I'm working on a solution for this but for now I can only accept local returns.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In the same condition that you received it
  • Unworn or unused
  • In its original packaging (if applicable)
  • Accompanied by receipt or proof of purchase
  • Not personalized

Return Shipping Costs

We offer free shipping on orders to the US, but as a small business with tight margins, we're unable to cover return shipping costs at this time. Customers are responsible for return shipping expenses on all returns, including sale items. Local drop off and pick up can be arranged.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Due to the nature of our business, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom or personalized items (items made specifically to your specifications)
  • Final sale items (these will be clearly marked as "final sale" at the time of purchase)

If you're unsure whether your item qualifies for return, please contact us before shipping it back.

How to Start a Return

To start a return, please contact us at bardowlarts@gmail.com or call 207-333-1140.  Some items may have an automatic return via my website.

Once your return request is approved, we'll provide you with:

  • Return shipping instructions
  • Our return address: 334 Johnson Rd, Auburn, ME 04210

Important: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery! If your item is defective, damaged, or you receive the wrong item, contact us immediately at bardowlarts@gmail.com. We're more than happy to make it right and will work with you to resolve the issue.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you whether your refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it can take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If you're in the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. Your item must be in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
