When I created a pollinator meadow in Maine, I was amazed at how many bumblebees thrived there. Fuzzy, big, and buzzing, they created the loudest, most joyful buzz I'd ever heard. When the partridge pea was in bloom I didn't even know what I was hearing-- I thought it could have been a helicopter at first! My one-year-old daughter even became enchanted by them — one of her first words was "buzz."
