This wren design began as a gift. One of my oldest, closest friends had a baby she named Wren — and the name felt so right that I had to make something to honor it. Wrens are evasive, secretive birds that flit through the woodland understory with such speed and skill that you're never quite sure you've seen one. They blend into bark and leaf like they were made from the forest itself. And yet they have this wonderful, funny upturned tail that gives them away — a small, joyful detail in an otherwise perfectly camouflaged creature. This giclée print captures that bird: still and attentive, hand-illustrated in acrylic, printed on 300 gsm archival paper. A piece for anyone who has ever tried to follow a wren through the trees and found themselves, unexpectedly, somewhere beautiful.
